BAGHDAD: Salah Abdillah and wife Eklase Mehdi raced with their children to the Sheraton Hotel six days ago when the US-led forces started pounding Baghdad non-stop.
They had to pay a fortune for a hotel room – 10,000 dinar (RM122,000) per day, which was three times more than the average Iraqi's monthly pay.
