PENANG: Nine state-of-the-art laboratories built for the Fire and Rescue Department throughout the country at a cost of RM329mil will be up and running by August.
Department director-general Datuk Jaafar Sidek Tambi said yesterday that work on the laboratories started simultaneously in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Penang, Pahang, Terengganu, Johor, Negri Sembilan, Sabah and Sarawak last year.
