TUMPAT: Kelantan has the highest number of recipients of poverty aid and subsidy, forcing the Federal Government to provide an allocation larger than for other states each year, said National Economic Action Council chief executive Datuk Mustapa Mohamed.
“In Kelantan, many people are poor and many, who think they are poor, are also asking for aid, so much so that there is not enough for everyone,” he said after opening a meeting of the Union of Medical and Health drivers here yesterday.
