THE Government is considering an application to amend the concept of the proposed port in Tumpat into a “multipurpose commercial port,” said parliamentary secretary to the Transport Ministry, Datuk Donald Lim.

He said the Government had approved Kelantan’s application to have a private firm, Syarikat Hongkew Holding (M) Sdn Bhd, build a port in Tumpat.

“However, the construction of the port has yet to be carried out,” he told Ramli Ibrahim (Keadilan – Kota Baru).
