Foot care part of grooming

PETALING JAYA: Foot care is usually low in grooming or make-up priorities. Few realise that foot care goes a long way in achieving a healthy and beautiful body. 

“It is very important because our feet are the means we use to get around and they determine how well we carry ourselves. And fashion isn’t only about beauty but also about being comfortable,” SSL Healthcare group product manager Geraldine Cheah said.  

Executives of foot treatment expert Scholl visited Menara Star recently to lend their support for the KL Fashion Week.

Cheah presented the sample set of Scholl products comprising 100ml and 75ml bottles of Scholl softening cream, rough skin moisturiser and deep skin moisturiser to The Star Publications (M) Bhd senior assistant advertising manager Roger Lee. 

The products will be given away to participants of the KL Fashion Week’s Secretaries Unplugged! luncheon on April 23 at the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Kuala Lumpur. 

Cheah said Scholl would be giving away its 3-Step Foot Regime pack in 5ml sachets as door gifts at the luncheon, while 10 hampers containing Scholl products including Scholl cracked heel cream and Scholl-CrossCreek t-shirts would be up for grabs in the lucky draw.  

“We’re excited to be part of this event along with the other partners. We are giving out samples of our products to the models (from Dalian in China) who will be doing all the walking during the event.  

“It (the KL Fashion Week) is a very good step taken by The Star to promote the fashion industry in Malaysia,” she added.  

Meanwhile, The Star executive editor Datuk Wong Chun Wai presented a memento plaque to Palm Gold Group general manager (finance & administration) Wong Ping Kong at its headquarters here as a token of appreciation for the company’s participation in the organising and funding of Style & Sensuality, the fashion gala dinner, on April 23 at the Mandarin Oriental. 

“We see it as our corporate responsibility to take part in such a healthy and celebrated event like the fashion week,” Wong said.
