Jailed for hurting cop

MUAR: The Sessions Court here sentenced a jobless man to 30 months' jail after he pleaded guilty to causing injuries to Lenga police station chief Sjn Major Omar Osman in Renchong, Lenga, last year. 

Judge Mohd Fauzi Mohd Nasir also ordered Goh Hup Aik, 43, to be put under police supervision for a year. 

Telugu new year

KUALA LUMPUR: The Telugus will celebrate their Ugadhi (new year) today.

Cops seek three workers

KUANTAN: Police are looking for three workers of a traditional medicine shop here in connection with the theft of RM20,000 worth of bird's nest products on Sunday. 

Kuantan Deputy OCPD Supt Lim Char Boo said the trader realised that about 5kg of the delicacies were missing from his storeroom when he conducted an inventory check.
