Young designers opt for a more modern kebaya look

KUALA LUMPUR: Vivid colours of every hue featured prominently in the outrageously modern interpretations of the traditional kebaya by 12 young designers here yesterday. 

While the designs for the kebaya top did not vary much, the creative lot had a riot when they discarded the conventional sarong and opted instead for swirled skirts, strapless gowns and even hot pants.
