1,000 free copies of Kuntum for 'visionary' primary school

SUBANG JAYA: Star Publications (M) Bhd gave away 1,000 copies of Kuntum to a “visionary” primary school to mark the launch of the mobile promotion unit of the popular children’s magazine here recently.  

Subang Jaya state assemblyman Datuk Lee Hwa Beng made the presentation to Sekolah Wawasan in USJ 15, which comprised the national school SK Dato Onn Jaafar and vernacular schools SJK (C) Tun Tan Cheng Lock and SJK (T) Tun Sambanthan. 

Besides magazines, the pupils received pencils and erasers from Faber Castell and ice-cream from Nestle.

Present at the event were Kuntum editor Datin Amelia Kassim and the headmasters of the three schools, Mohd Arip Mohd Katan (SK Dato Onn Jaafar), Tan Hock Thiam (SJKC Tun Tan Cheng Lock) and S. Subramaniam (SKJT Tun Sambanthan).
