Loan fund for Utar's needy students

KUALA LUMPUR: The board of trustees of the Chang Ming Thien Foundation have agreed to set up a RM2mil education fund from which interest-free loans would be given to poor students enrolled in Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman. 

MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Ling Liong Sik said the decision to set up the fund was passed during the board meeting yesterday, the first after the court ruling which allowed Multipurpose Holding Bhd to control and manage the fund.
