KUALA LUMPUR: It was a cold, wet night and a short, dark man with a shaven head slipped into bed with his fair, spiky haired partner outside the entrance of Emporium Grand Cafe at Jalan P. Ramlee.

It was Lil' Kev and Fly Guy of Morning Crew and they were telling passers by to “make love, not war.”

The duo also known as Saufian Mokhtar and Kevin Arokiasamy, were taking part in a “sleep in” to gather 10,000 signatures from the public as part of a peace campaign.

Fly Guy, who was dressed in a black T-shirt and red pyjamas pants, climbed under the sheets first at 9.30pm while the other half of the Morning Crew encouraged the crowd to cheer and applaud in support of peace.

“It was time for us to make a stand and we felt this was the best way to do it,” he said.

The petition will be forwarded to Malaysia for Peace organisation and the US Embassy.

Local artistes such as Jason Lo, the Teh Tarik Crew and Too Phat accompanied them. Also present were Ras Adiba Radzi and Miss Malaysia Mabel Ng.
