PUTRAJAYA: The Government has agreed in principle to give the Election Commission the power to transfer the registration of voters from one constituency to another based on the addresses in their identity cards.
Commission secretary Datuk Wan Ahmad Wan Omar said the move was to “stop once and for all” individual or en bloc transfer of voters based on political interest.
