PETALING JAYA: The Government has called on Malaysian employers not to practise a master-slave relationship with their domestic helpers, which has led to cases of maid abuse.
Women and Family Development Minister Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil said the Cabinet was viewing the recent reported cases of maid abuse very seriously, and wanted to remind employers to treat their helpers with respect.
