Company chairman's application to strike out suit dismissed

KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court dismissed an application by the chairman of Tan Chong & Sons Motor, Datuk Tan Heng Chew, to strike out a suit filed by his cousin, Tan Boon Pun, over two allegedly defamatory police reports. 

Senior assistant registrar Lailatul Zuraida Harun also ordered Heng Chew and co-defendant Tan Eng Cheng, an employee of Edaran Tan Chong Motor, to pay costs for the proceedings that went on in chambers.
