Cops seek Thai info on murder

IPOH: Perak police will seek the help of Thai police in probing the murder of a pork seller whose charred body was found in a car that was set on fire in Pengkalan Hulu last month. 

The remains of Wong Ah Chan, 46, from Sungai Petani, Kedah, was found in his Mercedes Benz in a jungle at the 18th kilometre of Felda Lepang Nenering in Pengkalan Hulu on Feb 22. 

State police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Amiruddin Embi said Thai police could pro 

vide some clues relating to Wong’s death. 

“Wong had gone to Thailand before he was killed. We need to know the purpose of his trip there and is there is any link to the murder,” he said after attending the Perak police contingent monthly gathering here yesterday.
