KUALA LUMPUR: The Government has directed that tighter monitoring and enforcement be carried out against manufacturers and importers of consumer products to safeguard consumers from any negative impact from the threat of war in Iraq.
Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said his ministry would look at ensuring that the supply of items was sufficient and also monitor the price increases for products, which were sensitive to increases in oil prices.
