KUALA LUMPUR: Taiwans Golden Horse Awards Best Actress winner Lee Sin Jie proved she can also sing like a winner at her first concert here.Â
The Alor Star-born lass sang hits from her earlier albums and her latest, Man & Woman, at the hour-long concert at Dewan San Choon, Wisma MCA last night.Â

She also wowed the audience with a rather moving rendition of Rod Stewarts I Dont Wanna Talk About It.Â
Lee left Malaysia to pursue a singing career in Taiwan under record label Rock Records after acclaimed Taiwanese actress and director Sylvia Chang Ai Jia discovered her. Â
Four albums later, Lee finally got to work with Chang on the movie Princess D that was released in cinemas last year.Â
However, it was her second cinematic release of the year, The Eye, directed by the Pang brothers of Hong Kong, which catapulted Lee into international acclaim.Â
Hailed as the scariest flick of the year, Lees convincing portrayal as a previously blind girl, who gains more than just her eyesight after an operation, also made her the toast of the prestigious Golden Horse Awards, Taiwans equivalent to the Oscars, last year.Â
Lee returned to singing with a new album this year and the local audience warmly welcomed her return last night.Â
Clad in boots and chic grungy outfits, Lee performed mainly mid-tempo and rock tunes. She also lived her rock chick fantasy for a while on the finale number Freedom.Â
The lovable Aniu was the guest artiste for the concert. Lee and Aniu performed a dance on stage that had the audience going wild with delight. Â
