KUALA LUMPUR: Manufacturers have been urged to move away from the production of cheap furniture in attempts to fend off competition from countries like China and Vietnam.
Primary Industries Minister Datuk Seri Dr Lim Keng Yaik said that Malaysia should instead concentrate on designing upmarket furniture as the country is unable to lower the cost of production.
