Polo club gets royal warrant


ROYAL SUPPORT: The patron of the Selangor Polo And Riding Club, the Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, unveiling the new logo of the club, for which he granted a royal warrant for it to be renamed the Royal Selangor Polo and Riding Club in Kuala Lumpur yesterday. 

In commemoration of Sultan Sharafuddin’s coronation on March 8, the club held the Coronation Polo Tournament, which began on Feb 20. 

The top prizes were won by the Royal Pahang I and Royal Pahang II polo teams while the Royal Selangor I polo team was third. 

Citigroup Private Bank sponsored the tournament.
