KUCHING: The state government is considering banning fishermen from catching ikan terubok for a specific period to save the fish from extinction, said Agriculture and Food Industries Minister Datuk Adenan Satem.
He said fishermen might only be allowed to operate during a designated period as part of the terubok conservation and management programme.
