KUALA LUMPUR: Peru is seeking Malaysia’s expertise to develop oil palm estates to replace coca-leaf (raw ingredient for cocaine) farms to combat drug production.
Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister Allan Wagner Tizon said the palm oil industry would provide a sustainable income for farmers, many of whom had been growing illicit crops to generate income.
