PEACE Malaysia called for the campaign for a peaceful resolution of the current Iraq crisis to be intensified and urged the United Nations to assume leadership in the fight against global terrorism.
In its memorandum to “the people of the world,” the alliance (People’s Alliance For Peace Malaysia – a coalition of NGOs and various organisations including religious, professional and student bodies) said war should be opposed at all costs, noting:
