INDIA and Malaysia took opposite stands on the issue of terrorism at the NAM Foreign Ministers-level meeting, with New Delhi shooting down Kuala Lumpurs proposal to convene an international conference among NAM members.
Malaysias proposal was not the only one rejected by India as New Delhi, it is learnt, also opposed a proposal by Tunisia to convene a UN conference to formulate a code of conduct aimed at reinforcing international efforts to co-ordinate action to prevent terrorism.
