New twist to cheque scam with girl's arrest

PETALING JAYA: The case of four teenagers who allegedly tried to cash three stolen cheques, with a face value of RM1.8mil, took a new twist when police detained a 15-year old girl here, yesterday. 

The schoolboys had been arrested at a Damansara bank on Tuesday for allegedly stealing the cheques from a businessman during a Chinese New Year visit. The man is a friend of one of their friends.
