Umno to activate polls machinery

KEPALA BATAS: Umno leaders have been directed to activate their polls machinery and go on the offensive to counter opposition propaganda in preparation for the next general election. 

Party secretary-general Tan Sri Khalil Yaakob said although the general election was not due until after October as announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad, Umno leaders must start making the necessary preparations as if elections were just around the corner.
