IPOH: A housewife was charged in the Sessions Court here yesterday with cheating a businessman of RM210,000 by promising to get his friend a state award which carries the “Datuk Seri” title.
Nor’ Ainon Ahmad Tajudin, 45, from Taman Sri Watan, Ampang, in Selangor is alleged to have cheated Muniandy a/l Munusamy by leading him into believing that she was a member of the Perak royalty, and induced him to hand over RM210,000 to help another businessman V. Balakrishnan to obtain the award from the Perak Sultan.
