SEREMBAN: The tradition of releasing Kong Ming lanterns into the air should be preserved as it encourages people to be strategic thinkers, MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Ling Liong Sik said.
He said the practice should be encouraged in the Chinese community as it would remind them of Zhuge Liang, the military strategist who developed the hot-air lanterns as a tool for communication during war in ancient China.
