KUALA LUMPUR: Airod president Tan Sri Ahmad Johan was conferred Italy’s prestigious Order of Merit yesterday for his contribution in promoting co-operation between Italian and Malaysian industries, especially in the field of high technology.
Italian ambassador to Malaysia Anacleto Felicani presented the award to Ahmad, the first Malaysian bestowed the award, at a ceremony at Airod, the Aircraft Repair and Overhaul Depot, in Subang, witnessed by Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar.
