TAMPIN: Allegations that land clearing activities at a water catchment area near Sungai Air Besi had led to flash floods in Gemas, resulting in a train to derail last Monday are baseless, said Tampin district officer Mohd Yusof Yunus.
He said that as far as he knew, the claim made by state Drainage and Irrigation Department director R. Batumalai was inaccurate.
