KUALA LUMPUR: A High Court judge reduced the sentence of a habitual drug offender yesterday after he expressed an interest in attending religious classes in the Kajang Prison.
Justice S. Augustine Paul set aside an additional six-month jail term which Abdul Rahman Ismail incurred after failing to pay a RM10,000 fine upon conviction for drug possession last year. Abdul Rahman was sentenced to four years' jail and the fine in October last year.
