JITRA: Self-interest in Umno can destroy the party the way some political parties elsewhere in the world were destroyed despite helping their nations to win independence, Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad said.
The Prime Minister and Umno president said some of these parties were now either non-existent, crippled or despised by their own countrymen.
