PETALING JAYA: The traditional Lunar New Year Eve reunion dinner among Chinese families took on a new dimension when a leading hotel hosted about 400 people, including non-Chinese guests, at an auspicious gathering here last night.

“I think this is such a meaningful tradition. The different races understand each other’s cultures better when they participate in it,” said ACP Osman Abu Bakar, 53, who was invited to the event by his close friend, real estate businessman Michael Yong.
