CNY joy from corporate citizens

KUALA LUMPUR: Playing the role of caring corporate citizens, Resorts World Bhd and Yayasan Lim extended donations totalling to RM102,000 to 34 charitable organisations, in conjunction with the festive season. 

Among them were old folks homes, orphanages, organisations dealing with the visually impaired, physically challenged and mentally retarded as well as non-profit associations. 

Representatives from the various organisations received RM3,000 each from Resorts World’s executive vice-president Tan Sri Alwi Jantan and Genting Bhd director Tan Sri Mohd Amin Osman. 

“The contributions are part of the company’s ongoing commitment towards the welfare of the less privileged and for the development of education,” said Alwi. 

He said the donations were an annual event and it was a way to give back to society. 

The total amount of contributions made by Resorts World and Yayasan Lim for the festive season was more that RM3mil for this year.
