PETALING JAYA: The extent of damage caused by the computer virus that slowed Internet traffic down to a crawl over the weekend will only be known today when system administrators return to work.
The so-called SQL Slammer worm had infected some 39,000 computers around the world by Saturday, affecting web surfing, e-mail delivery and even online services like bank ATM networks in the United States.
