KUALA LUMPUR: The Wildlife and National Parks Department seized RM200,000 worth of tiger parts, jackals and a pair of elephant tusks from two different locations on Friday and yesterday – the biggest seizure by the department in recent months.
In the wake of the department's increased vigilance for the illegal sale of exotic animal meat to seafood restaurants during the upcoming Chinese New Year season, officers here received a tip-off and raided a house in Permas Jaya, Johor Baru, where a big collection of skeletal parts of tigers were found.
