TAMPIN: Four armed men in a car rammed their vehicle into the car of a sales executive before abducting her and taking turns to rape her here late Tuesday.

After raping and robbing her of her valuables, they pushed her into a river and left her to die.

The woman, however, managed to swim to safety and walked for several kilometres before seeking help from passers-by.

Her clothes were wet and torn and she was shivering intensely after the hour-long ordeal.

The incident happened at about 10pm when the sales executive was driving from Bahau to Gemas.

The four men had trailed her car for some distance and accelerated and rammed into the back of her car near Pasir Besar here.

The woman stopped by the side of the road and alighted to check the damage to her car when three men lunged at her.

They bundled her into the back seat of her car before driving off.

Another accomplice followed them in the other car.

The men subsequently beat her up, blinded-folded her and tied her hands with cellophane tape.

They then took her to a secluded spot in a secondary jungle where they took turns to rape her.

After the ordeal, the men relieved her of RM150 and other valuables before pushing her into a river.

The woman managed to swim to safety holding on to broken branches and tree trunks.

OCPD Supt Abdul Wahab Azizul Hassan confirmed the incident, adding that police were investigating the incident.

He said police had yet to make any arrest as the woman could not provide them with a description of the suspects.

“It happened very fast and the victim is still in a state of shock. We will question her further to find out more details about the incident when she regains her composure,” he said.

He added that those with information should contact the district police headquarters at 06-441 1221 or the nearest police station.
