PENANG: Heroin prices have “skyrocketed” five-fold in all the major towns throughout the country after police severed a number of major drug pipelines over the past year.
The state Narcotics Department busted eight syndicates between January and October last year and seized some RM7.9mil worth of illicit drugs, including 49.1kg of heroin.
