MIRI: Natives living in national parks rich in rare plants and flowers may have been deceived by outsiders, seeking commercial gain, into revealing the secrets of these forests.
Borneo Resources Institute co-ordinator Raymond Abin said it was most likely that those out to make huge profits from extracting these flora were visitors or smugglers making use of the natives by tricking or by paying them.
