PETALING JAYA: Sisters in Islam (SIS) is calling on Muslim women in Malaysia to be aware of the option of using their marriage contracts to stipulate that it is unacceptable for their husbands to be polygamous.
SIS research manager Nik Noriani Nik Badli Shah said not many Muslim women knew that they could include this condition in their marriage contract, and those who did were discouraged from doing so by social pressure.
