PUTRAJAYA: The move to arm enforcement officers of the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry will not become a precedent for other agencies to be similarly equipped, said Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.
The Deputy Prime Minister said the Government would not allow this latest move to “open the floodgates” to officers of other enforcement agencies or individuals to request for licences to carry guns.
