KUALA LUMPUR: The people, not just their elected representatives, have the right to express views that are opposed to the Government said National Human Rights Commission (Suhakam) chairman Tan Sri Abu Talib Othman.
He said a healthy public and private debate on issues could help to develop sound policies for the country and efforts should be devoted to enhance social, economic and cultural needs and the quality of life of the people.
