Succession issue expected to fire up CC meeting today

KUALA LUMPUR: The MCA leadership succession is expected to be discussed at the party’s central committee meeting here today. 

Party officials believe that some members will want to talk about the matter following Datuk Seri Dr Ling Liong Sik’s statement that he is willing to step down as president even before his tenure ends in 2005 if the succession problem can be resolved earlier.
