Six hurt when ambulance and car crash

ALOR STAR: Six persons were injured, one seriously, when an ambulance rushing a comatose patient to the Alor Star Hospital from Kangar collided with a car at a junction here. 

Ambulance driver Shahrul Nizal Hussein, 25, and car driver Khairul Izham Hashim, 28, received outpatient treatment. 

The others – Dr Mohd Faizal Azmi, 26, nurse Intan Baizura Hashim, 23, attendant Wan Norsyazri Mohd Noor, 28, and Mohd Shukri Mansor, 21, who was accompanying the patient Mohd Zairi Ahmad, 18, were admitted to the hospital. 

Wan Norsyazri, who was thrown out of the ambulance, was warded in the intensive care unit. 

The ambulance was transferring accident victim Zairi, when the accident occurred at a junction in Jalan Sultanah Sambungan here at 7.30am.
