KUALA LUMPUR: Honda’s two-year old humanoid robot Asimo made its first public appearance in Malaysia at an event launched by Science, Technology and Environment Minister Datuk Seri Law Hieng Ding here yesterday.
Honda Malaysia Sdn Bhd managing director and chief executive officer Seiji Kuraishi told a press conference that the robot was developed to be lightweight and to operate in homes. Honda’s development of humanoid prototypes began in 1986.
