KUALA LUMPUR: A policeman, who had been dating a divorcee for almost two years, was remanded for allegedly raping her teenage daughter.

The 34-year-old lance corporal was arrested after a report was lodged by the divorcee.

City deputy CID chief Asst Comm Syed Ismail Syed Azizan confirmed the arrest. The woman, who has four children aged between three and 14, works as a cashier in a company near her home in Flat Sri Sabah in Cheras.

The rape allegedly happened recently, when the policeman who knew that the woman had gone to work, came to the apartment at about 10am.

The 14-year-old girl was there alone as her other younger siblings were out visiting relatives.

In an unrelated case, a 16-year-old student was arrested for allegedly raping his 11-year-old sister at their home in Kampung Baru.

The youth is said to have been raping his sister over the past seven months, whenever their mother was out working. The girl is now 29 weeks' pregnant.

It is learnt that the mother, a divorcee with eight children, was shocked when doctors told her that her daughter was pregnant after she had taken the girl to the hospital when she was not feeling well.

The mother then immediately lodged a police report and the boy was picked up for questioning.
