Ferry service from Tioman Island to the mainland has temporarily stopped due to poor weather conditions and strong waves. It was reported that at least 500 tourists were stranded on the island. Bluewater Express operational manager Mohammad Syafiq Farhan said those who had purchased tickets were angry for not being able to leave the island. He explained that the service suspension was necessary to prevent any untoward incident and would resume operations immediately once weather condition improves.
