The search for a missing five-year-old boy made some breakthrough after police arrested a family member. The latest development saw police re-classifying the missing persons case as kidnapping. Noor Amila Edrus Norsham disappeared from the family's home in a public housing area in Jingjang Utara, Kepong since Aug 11. According to a police source, the stepbrother-in-law, 25, of the victim had been detained to assist in the investigations. "So far, the suspect has denied any involvement in the missing case of Noor Amila Edrus, and investigation is still ongoing," said the source. It was reported that family members were left clueless as they did not receive any demand for ransom. The 51-year-old stepmother, Norrihan Bahar, has also pleaded for public help to locate Noor Amila Edrus.
