Robber impersonated as police begs for mercy


A robber, who impersonated as a policeman, begged for mercy after villagers caught him breaking into a house in Kampung Bahagia in Bangi. It was reported that the 20-year-old suspect and his accomplice, who claimed to be policemen, demanded from the victim to allow them into the house for inspection. However, the victim, who was alone at home, refused to open the door and the suspects forced themselves in. The victim suffered injuries at the back of his neck, believed to be caused by a knife. Villagers who heard the victim screaming for help rushed to the scene. One suspect managed to flee with a laptop and handphone. The other suspect was caught and beaten up by angry villagers. The suspect from Slim River, Perak is reported to be a drug addict. He apologised to the villagers before he was sent to the police station in Bandar Seri Putra.
