> Drug syndicate recruits student using MLM scheme
A  drug syndicate has purportedly been using a multi-level marketing (MLM) scheme to recruit students as agents to sell syabu. The latest tactic, which uses teenagers as middlemen, is aimed at increasing the number of drug addicts. It is understood that recruited students receive free supply of syabu as remuneration. A few students revealed their involvement in the scheme after they were nabbed in an operation by the National Anti-Drug Agency. At least 1,825 secondary students have tested positive for drugs in schools nationwide since January last year.
