Too expensive to remove so body left floating in river

The body of a man was left floating in a river for three days after his parents could not afford to pay fishermen to remove the body in Chengdu, China. The fishermen had earlier asked for 18,000 yuan (RM11,954) from the parents of Deng Shu Zhao, 25, who fell into the river on Nov 30. The fee was later lowered to 8,000 yuan (RM5,313) but still, it proved to be exorbitant for Deng’s father Deng Gang Ming and mother Dong Chong Rong. It was only when police intervened that the fishermen agreed to bring back the body for a fee of 5,400 yuan (RM3,586).
