> Decomposed bodies of two septuagenarians found
The decomposed bodies of two septuagenarians were found inside their home Monday morning at a remote village in Beruas, Perak. The body of 76-year-old Salmiah Yaakob was found in the kitchen with a piece of cloth in her mouth, while her sister, 71-year-old Salasiah, was found half-naked on a chair in the living room. The unexpected deaths were discovered by their nephew, Mazlan Yunus, who said that the victims had three weeks ago raised concern about a group of Indonesian men showing up at the house. The men had allegedly asked the victims how many tenants were staying under the roof. Manjung district OCPD Asst Comm Tengku Mohd Zailan Tengku Ahmad Shah said based on physical details, the victims died five days ago and there were no signs of struggle at the scene. The case has so far been classified as sudden death but police would investigate if there was foul play involved after a post-mortem.
